Children's Vision Month

The Saskatchewan Association of Optometrists is excited to announce the Minister of Health, the Honourable Jeremy Cockrill, has declared October 2026 Children’s Vision Month in the province of Saskatchewan. One in four Canadian children and youth between the ages of six to 19 have a vision problem. Saskatchewan Health covers the costs of annual eye exams for all Saskatchewan residents under 18. This is a valuable health care service provided for families by the government. You can learn more about the importance of children’s vision at www.childrensvision.ca
